AN EAGLE MOM

AN EAGLE MOM

WHO/WHAT IS AN EAGLE MOM?

An Eagle mom is a mother who has a deep passion for parenting her young without losing herself and her self-worth.  She is a mother who does this through prayer and maintaining her faith.  She keeps herself poised and graceful; she is nurturing yet playful.  She is a teacher and role model to her young.  A woman of resilience; she withstands all storms and situations that me be tough. As an Eagle mom she loves herself, she loves her young.  She is also IN love with God, she is IN love with herself, she is IN love with her role.

The actual Eagle is known to be the King of all birds.  They are a symbol of confidence and dignity.  A symbol of strength.  Eagles are beautiful, classy and majestic.  They are admired for many of their innate traits including being observant.

If we take time to study the personality and lifestyle of an Eagle and how they parent their young we can gather qualities that connect to our parenting skills.  Through reading journals and articles on Eagles, Eagles take pride in themselves and their eaglets.   Eagles do not mix or mingle with other birds; they are intentional on how they raise their young.  Although both Eagle parents (mother and father) tend to their young it’s the mother who spends the most time nurturing and teaching the young eaglets while the father Eagle searches for food.  The Mother Eagle spends all her time feeding the young, teaching their young to fly and how to hunt for food.  The personality of an Eagle parent is gentle and patient.  They are intentional in their parenting and teaching their young. Staying close to their young so other birds can not get close.  She makes feeding and nurturing her young priority.

Eagles have high standards; they will never cohabit with other species of birds.  They build their nests in the highest places where other birds cannot reach.  Eagles intently teach their young to focus, to fly and to hunt.  Prepping their young for when it’s their time to leave the nest.

As Eagle Moms our mentality should model that of an Eagle.  Those traits include being a role model teacher, being focused on who we are and teaching our young to mimic our lifestyle.  Be confident, resilient and dignified.  Raise our young with intention while keeping our stature, standards, and self-worth.  Don’t lose yourself because your role as a mother may be tiring or draining.  Maintain your dignity, dress nicely even on errand runs, smell good and take care of your body.  Most importantly, keep your faith, meditate and pray.  Stay true to yourself through a prayer lifestyle.

An Eagle mom is not a perfect mom but a mom who knows herself. Nurtures her young, loves her young.  She is resilient and fun.  She does it ALL by relying on love, faith and prayer.
